Meet the Brewer, an evening with Ian Jackson, Charles Well’s Master Brewer who will talk you through the history of the Ale World with tastings on from both Charles Wells and local independent Brewers that we have worked with over the many years of crafting our distinctive tasty Ales. The evening will be comprised of tasting a selection of Ales and accompanying nibbles devised by our Head Chef, Dan Jones.
Please arrive by 19:45pm

This is a light-hearted quiz for all abilities. Entry by form only – no entries accepted on the night as this is always a sell-out. The number of teams accepted is limited to 25, so send your entries in pronto! Licensed bar, waiter/waitress service.
The annual Book fair in aid of Garden House Hospice. Come and pick up a bargain and donate books in the box in the community centre.

You are invited to take part in the Baldock Festival’s competition at Baldock Community Centre on Saturday May 11th 2019
The event is being sponsored by Days of Ashwell and judged by Clive Draper, Bakery Manager of Days. Bring your Choice of one or more of the categories down to the Community Centre from 10am onwards. Judging will take place at 12 noon.
This year there are again two categories of entrants. Adult and child [up to the age of 13] and there are several ideas to tempt them.
- Cakes that are large or small, decorated or plain
When the judging has finished at 12 noon the entrants can take their entries home. Alternatively they are invited to leave them to be sold in aid of the mini bus appeal
The registration forms can be obtained from Baldock Community Centre up to midday on May10th.

A culinary masterclass in fresh tasty cuisine with our Head Chef Dan Jones. A two course supper evening with Head chef Dan giving a talk on all the dishes and talking you through what it takes to create them. All guests on top of the course will receive the menu, ingredients list and cookery guideline so they can give it a go at home. There will be a vegetarian option available.
Please arrive for 6:15pm
Come along and enjoy this Festival Community Lunch; three courses for just £12.00.

Herts Variety invite you to join them at ‘A Night at the Musicals’ in their 15th year of performing for the Baldock Festival. All their proceeds go to local charities and audiences are invited to sing along.

The Animal Experience (a small licensed zoo) will be attending with a wide variety of exotic animals, many of which are unwanted pets and rescue animals. Expect to see and meet their marvellous meekats, snakes including a python and milkshake, lizards including a bearded dragon, blue tongue skink and mini beasts. The animal keepers will be on hand to answer your questions and offer you the opportunity to touch or hold many of their animals.
Tea and coffee will be available in the coffee bar from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
You will also be able to buy jacket potatoes, ploughman’s lunches at lunchtime in the large hall. The bar will also be open.
