Join us for an evening of toe-tapping Jazz standards featuring our Little Big Band; The KTS All-Stars with singers; and the highly talented Gabriel Taylor Trio. This year we are paying tribute to the music of the 40’s including a selection of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and others so bring your dancing shoes!
There will be a cash bar available throughout the evening for refreshments. Please note that tickets will not be available on the door.
Doors will open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
We have all looked up at the night sky and marvelled at the stars and the moon swirling above us. Some of us may have used binoculars or a telescope to look in more detail.
But how many of us have looked at the sun?
Not very many………..Why?
Well, it’s very bright, hurts your eyes, and if you put a lens in the way will burn and start fires! It’s dangerous!
Letchworth and District Astronomical Society (LDAS) in conjunction with The Baldock Festival have organised a solar viewing day to change this!
Come along between12:00 and 16:00 when there will be specialist equipment and members of LDAS available to let you look at the sun safely and join the small group of people who have observed the sun!
