“Machiens” were formed by Don John Maxwell, Dace Makintosh & Fletch Fletcher.
- Don John Maxwell – Bass and Vocals – founder member of “Maxwell Hammer & Smith” and 70’s prog rock band “Canned Rock”
- Dave Mackintosh – Drums and Vocals – ex Dragon Force
- “Fletch” Fletcher – Guitar/Vocals – both session man and producer. He has also worked in local Hertfordshire bands during his earlier years.
We cover tracks from Queen, Stereophonics, U2, Disturbed, Manic Street Preachers, Rush, Metallica, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, The Who to name a few.
Playing all the very best of the 80’s.
With an amazing vocal range, these guys are great! They perform with a great sense of humor and happily encourage you to get up and dance or even join in with backing vocals
Formed by Ray & Ian, former members of Maxwell, Hammer & Smith and joined by the fantastic vocals and exceptional keyboard skills of miss Lily Norman, who has been gigging professionally for a number of years, as an accomplished, solo artist, the rhythm section is completed with the bass playing from Mark Stier.
The band cover songs from the sixties right bang up to date, from Abba, Beatles, Eagles to the rock of AC/DC, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and even Justin Timberlake. As with the MHS band, Joyrider have 3 vocalists: 2 male and 1 female and specialize in tight 3 part and 4 part harmony which gives the band a big full sound.
A fun Western Swing outfit from rural Hertfordshire, these guys play ‘both kinds of music’* in their own inimitable style.
Fronted by Martin (Fatman) Spencer (Teenbeats); The Runs; The Brains Brothers; Sheriffs of Hong Kong; The Big Ears Band).
You cannot fail to be entertained and amused by their personal take on the great British and American songbooks.
* ‘Both kinds of music’ = Country AND Western for those that don’t know.

Just Dig This is a five piece Rhythm and Blues band consisting of two guitars, bass, drums, and harmonica.
The band was formed in March 2016 with some of us being known to each other in previous working lives. Stuart, our lead vocalist/guitar, fronted a Be-Bop/Rockabilly band in the 80/90’s.
Andy, our drummer, has also played in many bands over the years.
Francis , harp, plays regularly at blues jams and open mic nights.
Jim, guitar/vocals, had never played in a band before so was quite new to the scene.
Our new for 2019 bass player, Dave Crowder, is no stranger to our set list of 60’s and 70’s covers – he used to play them as a youngster in a band whilst the original artists were still playing them!
Our original bass player Kev Crase remains available to step in as a dep, but has his own music projects under way.
