Whether you are a novice or like to dabble a little, come along for a 2-hour demonstration. All recipes will be provided and the attendees can ask as many questions as they like.

For many young adults about to embark on the journey of leaving home can be quite a daunting one. Not just the act of leaving your family for the first time but having to deal with all the things that your parents did for you, washing, cleaning and of course the cooking. For many, the thought of cooking can be really, really scary and that’s where Martin can help.
With a fun, informative and interactive session, Martin can help show the next generation of young people a few simple and basic dishes that are not only nutritious but tasty and far better value than buying from the takeaway, as you will have to watch your pennies after all!
You need a healthy mind to achieve good results. Good food helps create a healthy mind. Not only will you feel better, study better but let’s be honest it is hugely satisfying doing something for yourself, especially if it’s for the first time and cooking is a great skill to master.
Whether you are a complete novice or like to dabble with the pots and pans, come join Martin for a 2-hour demonstration to help you on your journey to eating well, preparing you for the exciting journey ahead and helping you eat your way to a wonderful education.

We have all looked up at the night sky and marvelled at the stars and the moon swirling above us. Some of us may have used binoculars or a telescope to look in more detail.

But how many of us have looked at the sun? Not very many………..why?

Well, it’s very bright, hurts your eyes, and if you put a lens in the way it will burn and start fires! It’s dangerous!

Letchworth and District Astronomical Society (LDAS) in conjunction with The Baldock Festival has organised a solar viewing day to change this!

Come along when there will be specialist equipment and members of LDAS available to let you look at the sun safely and join the small group of people who have observed the sun!
