Have you discovered something that you would like to know more about? North Herts Museums Archaeologist, Keith Fitzpatrick Matthews, will be on hand in the Museum to identify your treasures or curios found in the loft or dug up in the garden. Metal detectorists welcome. Also take the chance to see the ‘Baldock in 1919’ display in the Museum.
Meet outside Baldock Community Centre, Simpson Drive, 2.15pm for 2.30pm start
Jane Havercroft will take you on a stroll round the streets of Baldock to discover the origins of Baldock’s street names including those names no longer in use. All on tarmac so accessible to most mobility scooters; possibly too much traffic for small children and dogs. The walk will last about an hour and a half. This is a repeat of Jane’s walk from last year, but as some people were not able to get tickets then she has decided to repeat it this year.
Come and experience a 1940’s tea whilst singing along to some traditional wartime songs, as we celebrate 75 years since the end of WWII.
A pay bar serving beer and Prosecco will be available. Bring your Union Jacks and come dressed appropriately for the period if you would like to.
ROBIN BIBI is one of the UK’s top blues/rock guitarists having paid his dues working with such names as Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Ben E. King, launched the Robin Bibi Band in the late 90s.
Robin is one of the best guitarists and showman I have ever seen. Add to this a special guest appearance from the sultry songstress Chris Lord, whose velvet vocals add a touch of something wicked and you can guarantee an afternoon not to be missed!!!
Please arrive for 6:00pm for 6:30pm
Hosted by Head Chef Jamie, this two course supper will be accompanied by a talk on all the dishes and what it takes to create them. You will be given the menu, ingredients list and cookery guideline so they can give it a go at home. Each course will come with a paired wine.
Vegetarian option available.
